A moment I will forever cherish
A few yrs ago, a few weeks after starting my business, someone mentioned Lisa Nichols, CEO of Motivating the Masses. Curious to learn more about who she was, I looked her up & discovered she was speaking at a virtual CAPS Toronto event. I registered and found myself in a small zoom session with her and with a few others.
I recall sitting there, listening as she spoke about the power of using your voice and shared her story as I learned about her decades long career as an entrepreneur. At the time, I had just enrolled in a bootcamp started by my mentors the Co-Founders of the Business Excellence and Impact Group. My level of awareness was low at the time I enrolled regarding business building and I wasn’t even sure I really wanted to start a business and I chose to trust the process.
Something about Lisa's words struck me during the session. I left that Zoom in awe of her storytelling abilities and the impact she had in that session. Her journey and authenticity were most impactful.
In some ways, that moment played a small part in continuing to give me the nudge and inspiration I needed to continue the Bootcamp I was in and to see it through. In the weeks that followed, I completed the program, graduated, and officially birthed Higher Mountaintops, LLC.
I share this because you never know whose flame your words might ignite. Even in a small virtual room, your voice could be the spark that keeps someone moving forward. As you step into the week, choose to truly see people—and when you can, add value.
